Little Crown of the Blessed Virgin

History:
St. John, the beloved disciple of Jesus and Mary was privileged to behold a wonderful sign in heaven: "A woman clothed with the sun, and the moon was under her feet, and upon her head a crown of 12 stars."  This gave rise to the Triple Crown of 12 Stars of the Blessed Virgin which heaven has blessed with countless favours.
St. Louis Mary De Montfort embellished the Little Crown by adding to each Hail Mary a distinctive invocation in praise of the Blessed Virgin's excellence, power and goodness.  Since the Blessed Virgin is the spouse of the Holy Spirit, St. De Montfort prefaces the Little Crown with a liturgical invocation to the Holy Spirit.
