Litany for the Dying

Lord, have mercy on us.
Christ, have mercy on us.
Lord, have mercy on us.
Christ, hear us.
Christ, graciously hear us.
God, the Father of heaven, have mercy on us.
God, the Son, Redeemer of the world, have mercy on us.
God the Holy Spirit, have mercy on us.
Holy Trinity, one God, have mercy on us.
St. Joseph, foster father of Christ, we beseech you, hear us.
St. Joseph, patron of the dying, we beseech you, hear us.
Obtain for them the forgiveness of their sins, we beseech you, hear us.
Obtain for them great patience, we beseech you, hear us.
Obtain for them perfect resignation, we beseech you, hear us.
Obtain for them a living and unshaken faith, we beseech you, hear us.
Obtain for them a firm confidence, we beseech you, hear us.
Obtain for them ardent charity, we beseech you, hear us.
Avert from them the attacks of the enemy, we beseech you, hear us.
Protect them from the temptations that assail them, we beseech you, hear us.
Preserve them from despondency and despair, we beseech you, hear us.
Obtain for them the grace of Jesus Christ, we beseech you, hear us.
Assist them and do not abandon them, we beseech you, hear us.
Come to their aid in their weakness, we beseech you, hear us.
Assist them in their abandonment, we beseech you, hear us.
Obtain for them a happy death, we beseech you, hear us.
Obtain for them a merciful judgement, we beseech you, hear us.
Conduct their souls to the vision of Jesus, there to obtain mercy for them, we beseech you, hear us.
Amen.
